Lawler Partners, one of the region’s largest business and accounting practices, has won two awards in a national competition.

The firm won the National Professions Award for Best Small Accounting Firm and the Major Award for Small Professional Services Firm of the Year competing against businesses in law, accounting, consulting, engineering and actuarial. The awards are part of the Business Review Weekly St George Client Choice Awards.

The awards are decided through a survey completed by clients and members of a wide range of professional service organisations such as accountants, architects, consulting engineers, environmental consultants, lawyers, management consultants, patent and trademark attorneys, project managers and public relations advisers.

Director and founding Partner, Terry Lawler, said that the awards recognised the culture developed in the firm of understanding clients’ businesses.

“It sounds simple enough but it takes considerable commitment and energy to understand another business well enough to bring further success to them.”

Terry Lawler said Lawler Partners growth in the Sydney market would continue.

“We are growing away from the image of a regional company with an office in Sydney to one of a mid-tier firm in the wider market place.”
