Stewart Free is a Partner of the Lawler Partners Business Recovery and Insolvency team and has in excess of 13 years insolvency and reconstruction experience in a broad range of insolvency administrations including Voluntary Administrations, Receiverships, and Liquidations.

He specialises in external management, corporate administrations, restructuring, rationalisation and liquidation and has had extensive experience in these areas.

His major engagements include:

• Manufacturing business with a multi-million dollar turnover sold as a going concern with retention of all staff.
• Jewellery retailer – search and seizure warrants executed.
• Acting for secured creditors in realizing their security from struggling companies.
• Acting for third parties in relation to issues arising out of the insolvency of companies, such as recovery of client’s stock, defending preference actions and forensic accounting engagements.

Stewart has had particular experience dealing with hotels and restaurants, manufacturing and engineering, motor vehicle repairers as well as the building and construction industry.

Stewart's hobbies include wood working, spending time with his daughter and socialising with friends and family.
