Robert Whitton is a Partner of Lawler Partners where he leads the Sydney Business Recovery and Insolvency team.
He has in excess of twenty years insolvency and reconstruction experience gained whilst a partner at both specialist insolvency and large accounting firms. Robert’s strength is finding appropriate proactive solutions to assist financially distressed companies and individuals.
Robert is a recognised specialist in the areas of corporate and personal insolvency administrations, forensic accounting and litigation support services where he utilises his expertise, energy and enthusiasm to develop creative and strategic results for his clients.
In addition, Robert is an Official Liquidator of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, a Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Credited Fraud Investigator, having undertaken tertiary qualifications through Monash University in Melbourne.
Robert’s experience is significant and includes involvement in more than one thousand administrations and consulting assignments across a diverse range of industry sectors including:
- The Construction industry where he has acted for developers, builders and sub-contractors
- The Hospitality and Tourism industry including Licensed Clubs, wine distributors and restaurants

- The Agricultural sector, including wineries, rural properties and businesses

Robert has also had considerable experience acting as an expert witness in a number of litigation matters namely in the areas of agriculture, petroleum and hotels.
