Annamaria is a Principal of Lawler Partners where she leads the Forensic Accounting Services team.
Annamaria has over 16 years experience within Forensic Accounting and provides specialised advice and forensic services tailored to meet the individual needs of clients in order to detect and or prevent incidences of financial crime.
Annamaria has worked both in industry and academia including working for medium to large corporations such as TAB Limited NSW and has held positions of accountant and auditor. She has further been involved in fraud examination, financial investigations and consulting for various industries including the Hotel and Club industry and to both the private and public sector.
Annamaria has also been sought to train various individuals and groups in fraud detection and prevention, including; law enforcement officers, public prosecutors and federal government investigator’s.
Annamaria’s work within academia includes coordinating and lecturing in both undergraduate and postgraduate auditing and forensic accounting subjects. She was further one of the key developers and lecturers for the Master of Forensic Accounting (MFA), which was the first degree of its kind worldwide when delivery began at the University of Wollongong in 2004. Annamaria has additionally been actively involved with the Centre for Transnational Crime (CTCP), Faculty of Law, University of Wollongong, lecturing financial investigation subjects at postgraduate level.
Recognised as a world expert in forensic accounting and fraud examination, Annamaria has been invited to present at various National and International conferences.
