Regional Seminar Series - Revitalisation Through Risk Management
Lawler Partners, ClubsNSW and the Club Directors Institute are pleased to invite you to attend the first of our Regional Seminar Series for 2011, titled “Revitalisation through Risk Management”.
Presented by Hospitality experts John Tully and Peter McLean of Lawler Partners, this session will investigate how a governance approach to risk management can help bring about strong growth and revitalisation for your club.
John Tully has a proven track record for business transformation within the club industry and has been consulting to the hospitality, entertainment and leisure industries on business transformation, change management processes, asset strategy, return on capital, management performance and business improvement for over 20 years.
Peter McLean has over 30 years experience in providing strategic planning, governance advice & training, amalgamations, business improvement, asset management & technical advise to boards and management.
These seminars will cover the Board’s risk oversight role in securing the club’s sound strategic future, as well as review case studies from clubs who have failed to deliver on their strategic vision through improper risk processes. These cases will then be compared with successful clubs whose strategic plan continues to be founded on sound risk principles that have allowed for business transformation and revitalisation. All case studies will help to provide Board members and senior managers with a practical understanding of the application of a governance approach.
