John Vouris of Lawler Partners as the Voluntary Administrator of Bangalow Bowling & Sports Club Limited chaired a second meeting of creditors on Monday, 20 February 2012.
At the meeting, creditors voted to accept a proposal put forth by the Club Rescue Committee that the Administration end and control of the Club's affairs revert to the Club's Board.
"This is a great outcome for the Club and the community. I am pleased that the Club Rescue Committee was able to present a viable proposal to return the Club to the Board. Furthermore, I would like to thank the ANZ bank for its assistance during the Administration process and the members of the Club Rescue Committee who worked tirelessly in putting their proposal together" John Vouris said.

John Vouris and Brad Tonks of the Business Recovery team at Lawler Partners were appointed Voluntary Administrators of Bangalow Bowling & Sports Club Limited (Administrators Appointed) on 13 January 2012 after a resolution was passed by its board of directors.
The Administrators will be working closely with the company's stakeholders in preparation for the first meeting of creditors which will be held at the Bangalow Bowling & Sports Club, Byron Street Bangalow NSW at 11:00am on Wednesday 25 January 2012. Members are also welcome to attend this meeting and details will be released shortly.
"All avenues will be explored to re-open the Club and I am confident a Deed of Company Arrangement will be entered into", John Vouris said.
The Administrators will also be seeking expressions of interest from other Registered Clubs in pursuing an amalgamation.

John Vouris of Lawler Partners as the Voluntary Administrator of Bangalow Bowling & Sports Club Limited (Administrators Appointed) chaired a first meeting of creditors at the Club on Wednesday 25 January 2012. Members were also invited to attend this meeting and over 50 members were present, an indication of the community's strong ties to the Club.
Mr Vouris advised that he will be working closely with the company's stakeholders in preparation for the second meeting of creditors which will be held no later than 21 February 2012.
Mr Vouris also advised that a notice to creditors would be issued prior to the upcoming meeting which would also include a report outlining the Administrators' recommendation on the future of the company.
