Lawler Partners takes tremendous pride in giving back to the community. We care deeply about the communities in which we live and work, and encourage all of our associates to become involved in community projects.

Aim for the Stars

Aim for the Stars was founded by Layne Beachley with a mission to help young girls excel in their chosen field of sport. Each year the Aim for the Stars Foundation selects 6 girls to be the recipients of awards of between $1,500 and $3,000 as well as a $6,000 group award. Layne sees herself as a role model to these young girls and provides her time and energy in the hope that they can too achieve their dreams and ambitions.www.aimforthestars.com.au

Hunter Medical Research Institute

Lawler Partners is a proud member of the Top 200 Founding Firms. Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) is Australia's only regionally based, internationally competitive health and medical research institute. HMRI's primary corporate partnership program is the Top 200. The Top 200 Firms are special supporters who have provided cash or in-kind donations to support the ongoing work of our researchers.www.hmri.net.au

Sunrise Children's Village

The Sunrise Children’s Village provides Cambodia’s orphans with opportunities that we all take for granted. Simple things like love, food and shelter and basic rights such as inoculation, clothing, medical and dental care and education at a Government school. Lawler Partners and their staff have provided donations to support the purchase of the paint and supplies necessary for the redecoration of the orphanage buildings which was co-ordinated by members of the firm's Alumni.

Life Without Barriers

Life Without Barriers is a registered charity and not for profit organisation providing a range of creative and innovative programs to people with disabilities and children and young people in crisis throughout New South Wales, South Australia, ACT, Tasmania and Queensland. Their objective is to enable people with disabilities and young people in crisis to form stable, meaningful and sustainable relationships, which are the foundations for their personal development and maximising their quality of life. Special Olympics Australia and Special Olympics NSW

Special Olympics Australia and Special Olympics NSW are part of the International Special Olympics Association who provide an opportunity to intellectually disabled athletes to compete in a range of sporting competitions including Athletics, Aquatics, Basketball, Soccer and others. Athletes are supported to compete in state, national and international competitions with other intellectually disabled athletes.www.specialolympics.com.au

HunterTech

HunterTech is a consortium of Hunter based Information Technology and Communications companies. By aligning the capabilities of a cluster of specialist Information Technology and Telecommunications companies, HunterTech provides clients with access to a comprehensive range of solutions when it comes to IT work. Lawler Partners Director, Steve Meyn is the current Chairman of HunterTech.www.huntertech.com.au

Newcastle University

Lawler Partners has strong connections to the University, with more than half of the Directors in the firm having completed their degrees here. Of the 130 staff of the firm, around 90 are either enrolled at the University or are graduates. Lawler Partners also sponsors cadetships for students. Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation

Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation is a charity which runs various hospital programs that make life easier for cancer patients and sponsors doctors and scientists running research programs to understand and overcome cancer. The founders include cricketing legend Mark Taylor, Rugby League legend Reg Gasnier, Olympian Raelene Boyle and Triple Brownlow Medallist Bob Skilton. www.sportingchance.com.au

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation is a not for profit breast cancer charity in the Hunter dedicated to supporting women in the Hunter who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The charity was established in January 2000 to help alleviate the suffering and distress associated with a breast cancer diagnosis and to provide information and support for women diagnosed with, or being treated for breast cancer in the Hunter Valley and for their families.  

Lawler Partners holds an annual breakfast in October to raise funds for the HBCF to assist with training and other required resources for their nurses. www.hbcf.org.au


The Salvation Army

Each December Lawler Partners and our staff contribute to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal through the collection of food items and the donation of toys and monies that help families ease the burden at Christmas. www.salvos.org.au
